Alloy Darius carries forward a legacy of over four decades in the manufacture of Fine, Super-Fine & Ultra-Fine Special Alloy Wires and Allied Products, building on the pioneering foundation laid by Kakatiya Alloys Private Limited (KAPL) in 1983.
With deep expertise in metallurgy, process innovation, and ultra-precision wire manufacturing, Alloy Darius continues to serve defence, aerospace, medical, electronics, and energy industries with materials developed for the most demanding applications.
At Alloy Darius, we specialize in developing new processes to meet critical tolerance requirements, from achieving ultra-clean wire surfaces to processing super alloys that were previously considered unworkable.

Carrying forward his father’s pioneering legacy, Mr. Ravi Raju has established Alloy Darius as a center of innovation in advanced material engineering. With a career grounded in metallurgy and applied material science, his leadership spans critical applications across medical, aerospace, defence, electronics, and energy industries.
At Kakatiya Alloys Private Limited (KAPL), the R&D and process innovations that positioned the company as a pioneer in fine, super-fine, and ultra-fine special alloy wires were largely driven by his expertise. Following the passing of Late Mr. Soma Raju, he founded Alloy Darius to continue this legacy with a renewed focus on next-generation materials, global collaborations, and cutting-edge process development.
Under his leadership, Alloy Darius has advanced:
Metallurgical processes for ultra-fine wires and complex super alloys.
Proprietary techniques for ultra-clean surfaces and close-tolerance applications.
Solutions for critical sectors, including space research, defence systems, high-reliability medical devices, advanced electronics, and renewable energy systems.
In addition to Alloy Darius, Mr. Raju also leads Uru-Tejasa HPM, a 100% Export Oriented Unit specializing in high-performance insulated conductors and aerospace cable assemblies for fuel cells, rocket nozzles, and high-temperature environments up to 1300°C. These technologies are developed exclusively for NASA subsidiaries, reinforcing his global standing in high-performance materials.
What distinguishes Mr. Ravi Raju is his ability to translate complex metallurgical challenges into scalable industrial processes — from inventing proprietary surface-cleaning methods for ultra-clean wires to successfully processing alloys once considered “impossible to draw.” His leadership is defined by innovation at the frontier of materials science, uncompromising quality, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Our Leadership
The leadership of Alloy Darius is deeply rooted in a legacy of innovation, technical mastery, and commitment to excellence in high-performance alloy wires. The company was founded in memory of Late Mr. R. Soma Raju, whose pioneering work laid the foundation for India’s super-alloy wire manufacturing industry. Today, under the direction of Mr. Ravi Raju, Alloy Darius continues to advance that vision into new frontiers of defence, aerospace, energy, and medical applications.
Late Mr. R. Soma Raju
Founder, Kakatiya Alloys Private Limited (KAPL)
Founder of Kakatiya Alloys Private Limited (KAPL) in 1983, Mr. Soma Raju dedicated his life to advancing India’s metallurgical capabilities. With more than 40 years of experience in Defence Metallurgical & Research Labs (DMRL)and Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd. (MIDHANI), he was one of the first three engineers chosen to establish MIDHANI, after receiving advanced metallurgical training in France and Germany in the 1970s.
He brought global knowledge back to India, pioneering the manufacture of fine, super-fine, and ultra-fine alloy wiresthat became essential to the country’s defence, aeronautics, and space programs. His disciplined leadership and relentless focus on process innovation gave KAPL international recognition, supplying materials to highly critical applications, including collaborations with NASA subsidiaries.
Though he is no longer with us, his vision forms the foundation and guiding philosophy of Alloy Darius.
